Hi all,
Around 1984, this kit was sold by Tandy and was the follow up of the 150 in 1 kit.
The big change was the use of Silicium transistors instead of Germanium. To provide enough power to these Si transistors, the solar cell changed to a higher voltage. I believe that also the IC was updated to a newer version.
I got this 150 in 1 kit around 1977 after enough nagging to my parents. :D
This is the second kit I got ( the first one was the 65 in 1 ). The 150 in 1 offered the LED display :o , and IC amplifier circuit :o
With this kit I really learned how basic circuits worked and started to create my own.
I believe I played with this kit many years till I discovered the Philips EE series
