19 Tongenerator
19 Tone generator
Open door number 19 and take out another resistor with 10 kOhm and two diodes 1N4148 as an extra for later.
The alternating flasher is now converted to a tone generator.
To do this, just change the resistances. The flashing becomes so fast that it can be heard as a tone.
This time the time constant is 100 nF * 22 kOhm = 2.2 ms.
A complete oscillation theoretically takes 4.4 ms, so that a frequency of 230 Hz should be on the speaker.
But this is only a rough approximation, because the exact frequency also depends on other properties of the circuit.
But you can estimate that there should be a deep crackle, which is actually the case.
