12 Akustischer Lampentester
12 Acoustic test for lamps
Behind the 12th door, there is a resistor with 47 kOhm.
Build a light sensor for acoustic examination of electrical lamps (which are attached to the mains).
With it, you will be able to see and hear the flickering of lights.
Slowly move the sensor towards the lamp.
If there is a big distance to the lamp, the red LED will glow. If there is a short distance, the green LED will glow.
Usually, there will some sort of in-between area in which both LEDs will glow.
Additionally, there will be a buzzing sound coming from the speaker.
Some lamps only flicker a little. The sound will only emerge in a very small area for those.
Other lamps may flicker a lot.
A special feature of this circuitry is that the Thr-entry is fixed to Vcc.
The default state is dependent only on the voltage of Tri.
The NE555 works as a comparator with a threshold of 1/3 Vcc.
Now, the smallest changes in voltage are enough to switch the LEDs.
But this comparator is not suitable for slowly changing input voltages because it tends to have its own vibrations within the transition.
